2017考研英语长难句之从句子成分入手

         我们在复习长难句时，应该学会如何分析长难句。考研英语长难句，这里我们就分享一个长难句分析的实例，即从句子成分入手，分析长难句。
         例句：The notion that learning should have in it an element of inspired play would seem to the greater part of the academic establishment merely silly, but that is nonetheless the case.
       分析：在这个句子中，The notion 是主语，而notion后面的that 从句是notion 的同位语从句，是对这个notion的内容的具体说明。learning should have in it an element of inspired play 是修饰主语的从句,这个从句可以进行翻译处理如下：学习应该包含激励孩子们玩耍。在这里，inspired play 可以理解为“有启发性的娱乐”，would seem是谓语，且but后的句子that is nonetheless the case是简单句。考研英语长难句，所以整个句子的主干为：the notion would seem merely silly to the greater part of the academic establishment。
        难点：此句真正的的难点应该是在“learning should have in it an element of inspired play”这部分，在这里，若是将句子还原为learning should have an element of inspired play in it，考生应该就可以很容易得理解这个句子了。在这个句子中，作者只是对宾语部分an element of inspired play 进行了后置。
        翻译：学习中应该包括具有启发性的娱乐这一观点对于大部分学术机构而言似乎是愚蠢的，但事实的确如此。
